Why Choose a Private Rite of Passage?

Some thresholds in life can’t be met in a group.
They demand a private space. A sacred container. A journey tailored only to you.

Maybe you’re standing at the edge of:
  • A divorce, separation, or major relationship shift
  • The collapse or reinvention of your business
  • The loss of someone you love

  • A deep spiritual awakening that’s disrupted your old life

  • A gnawing sense that what worked before no longer works now

You don’t need another retreat.

You need a rite of passage tailored to your life and your moment.

What Is a Private Rite of Passage?

A private rite of passage is aboutletting go of who you’ve been, and stepping into who you’re becoming.

Your private rite may include:

Martin Thomsen walking with an investor in the forest, symbolising preparation, clarity, and setting the foundation for transformation.

Preparation Sessions

To clarify your threshold, build safety, and set the container.

Timeless work, adapted for the modern man.

Who This Is For

A private rite of passage is ideal if you:

  • Are an entrepreneur, leader, or high performer navigating a major life transition
  • Feel called to go deeper than workshops or group retreats allow
  • Want a container tailored 100% to your needs and pace
  • Are ready to face yourself fully: with honesty, courage, and integrity
  • Want to mark a life threshold in a way that is sacred, unforgettable, and real

How It Works

Every rite of passage is unique, but the structure often follows three phases:

  • 01

    Preparation

3–4 private sessions (online or in-person) to clarify your intention, prepare your body and mind, and create a safe emotional container.

  • 02

    Threshold Experience

A fully tailored 3–5 day immersion in Portugal or abroad. This may include wilderness survival, solitude, ceremony, or medicine work (psilocybin, San Pedro, or MDMA if aligned and legal). Co-facilitated by Martin and, when relevant,Beáta or other experienced guides.

  • 03

    Integration

Follow-up sessions to anchor the insights into daily life. Tools for embodiment, leadership, and relationships so the rite of passage becomes a lived transformation, not just an experience.

Logistics & Investment

  • Location: Portugal (or other agreed setting worldwide)
  • Length: 3–5 days, plus preparation & integration
  • Format: Private, one-on-one (with optional co-facilitation)
  • Investment: Starting at €6,000 (tailored to format, location, and duration)

I only work with a limited number of men each year to ensure depth and quality.

What Men Say

"What I learned most is to trust my stomach, trust my heart, trust my body, not my head. My head is always telling me lots of noise, things that are totally imaginary. But when I come back to my body, to my heart, there's a lot of truth there. A lot of grounding, a lot of love and support."

Vivek

"I felt lost, confused, and afraid. This retreat gave me all the answers I was searching for, in places I didn't expect to find them. Now I have full clarity on exactly what I need to do going forward. In my body it's a calmness, a sensation of having my feet on the ground and knowing what I stand for."

Oliver

"My greatest fear met me in the temazcal, and I realised I can move through fear with love, and that my body is far stronger than my mind. I left with less anxiety, more trust in myself, and the revelation that when there is no judgment or ego, there is space for pure love."

Thys

"I felt drawn to Martin's energy, so I took the leap. What I found were deeply rooted emotions still living in my body, and old traumas I thought were healed. I gained powerful tools and made big decisions I'd been avoiding."
